In ancient times, the Celtic monasteries were places of learning, the monks and nuns offering education to anyone who came seeking it. Often, the classes would be held outdoors, perhaps under a tree to ward off the hot sun or the frequent Irish drizzle. So here is an oak tree for us to sit under.
